I did not have to be at the CAT Ferry terminal until noon as the scheduled departure time was 1 PM so I had some time to kill in the morning. So I checked out the Canadian Tire Store, rode around town for a while, and had a leisurely lunch before heading to the terminal.

The ferry arrived at the terminal and boarding began shortly thereafter. This time all the motorcycles were strapped down to the floor at regularly spaced anchor points.

Pulling away from the terminal.

Leaving Yarmouth.

Crossing the Gulf of Maine.

Arriving at Bar Harbor, ME.

The ferry had a late start and was running slower than usual. Someone said this was because only three of the four engines were operational. By the time we arrived and I cleared U.S. Customs it was a little after 5 PM.

The entrance to Acadia National Park was located close to the ferry terminal so I decided to stop there to camp that evening. After setting up camp at the Seawall Campground I rode into the town of Southwest Harbor and had a fresh Maine seafood dinner.
