Weather: Clear and warm.
My intent was to cover as many miles as possible during the first days of the trip and then slow down.
I made a sign in Kentucky and mounted it on the rear of the bike - ALASKA OR BUST. Many people on I-24 looked at me as if I were a little strange. In Anna, IL a trucker honked his horn as he passed - all I could see was his fist from the window in a thumbs up gesture.
